Review: Chicken Cottage with more wings than you can shake a straw at

Our first review at Fullscreen is a pretty finger likin’ one.  It’s all about our visit to one of Chicken Cottage’s big fast food shops.

The company: Chicken Cottage was founded by a man called Mohammed Khalid in 1994. Ever since then Chicken Cottage has expanded to various parts of the world including Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, South Africa, Canada, and France . And their headquarters are in London with branches all across the UK .

Appearance: From the outside the shop looks like a huge French supermarket, which in a way is very good, but that’s were the good looks ends. When you step inside your welcomed with employees who look like they just came from a funeral, randomly placed cheap tables, and dull cream walls. All of this can easily be changed, like teach the employees to smile, replace the tables and put them in an organised manner, and get a few kids to go crazy on the walls with some paint.

The Food: Well firstly, the workers knew we we’re going to eat in, but for what ever reason, the gave us our meal as like eating out, which was a major flaw as this caused much inconvenience because we had no plates or trays, just pieces of tissue. The food was better than expected, although not MacDonald’s standard. The chicken had the right flavourings in it, with not too much oil. The chips had a good flavour to it, and wasn’t soggy. They also use Pepsi rather than Coke which is important because Coke helps the Zionist country Israel.

Conclusion: Overall, the Chicken Cottage is the right move in giving a unified standard in fast food, but it’s the little things that the company needs to improve on like giving trays for example. The business is probably the second Muslim fast food chain that can have a chance against the big non-Muslim competitors.
